Huawei Unveils New Customer Solution Integration and Innovation Experience Centre

A new innovation hub to drive the nation’s digital economy transformation

[Kuala Lumpur, October 26, 2016] In efforts to drive the nation’s digital economy transformation, Huawei has unveiled its new Customer Solution Integration and Innovation Experience Centre(CSIC), located in Integra Tower, The Intermark, Kuala Lumpur. The brand new and state-of-the-art centre was inaugurated this morning by the Malaysian Prime Minister, The Honourable Dato' Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak.

Covering 13,000 square feet, Huawei’s CSIC aggregates over 120 reference applications and services across the world. This centre has been designed as an ICT innovation hub and centre of excellence to drive industry open ecosystem and accelerate digital economy transformation in Malaysia.  Huawei’s customers and partners are able to leverage this innovative platform to design and test technology solutions, verify new business models, nurture innovative applications and services to both the public and private sectors. Huawei plans to further establish Cloud, IoT, Video and Big Data labs in the next 3 years.

In addition to the launch event, Huawei and the Ministry of Higher Education announced a signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU appoints Huawei as the advisor in ICT Talent Development and Smart Campus Transformation to further strengthen its efforts in developing the ICT industry through education, ICT knowledge transfer and industry-academia collaborations. By collaborating with the Ministry of Higher Education, Huawei aims to select 300 local public universities and polytechnic students from across the nation to provide them the opportunity to attend programmes and workshops which will be held in the centre on a yearly basis.
