Huawei is proud to receive two awards at 5G Asia Award. |
[Singapore, September 28, 2016] Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today said it has been named winner in two categories at the 5G Asia Awards 2016. The company took first place in the “Best NFV/SDN Solution” category, and the “Best Solution in Heterogeneous Network Deployment” award. The awards ceremony was held on September 28th at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The Best NFV/SDN Solution award recognizes Huawei NFV Solution, which has an all cloud architecture that helps telecom operators simplify and manage their networking operations more effectively. The service leverages on existing network resources, thereby lowering capital and operating expenses while enabling a smooth evolution from traditional network to NFV and creating more innovations to digitally empower enterprises and vertical industries.
Based on a all-cloud architecture, the Huawei NFV Solution supports Cross Data Center redundancy. Coupled with FusionSphere’s visualization tools, one of the key components of the solution, Huawei NFV reduces standard deployment time of virtual data center from a matter of weeks to minutes through a one-click application deployment. This solution enables mobile operators to improve their performance, efficiency, and reliability of core networks. In addition, through CloudMSE and CloudUIC, the solution reduces the TTM (Time-to-Market) of new services and enables more cross-industry service innovations.
Furthermore, Indoor Digitalization, jointly built by Huawei and local mobile operator in Indonesia, won the Best Innovation in Heterogeneous Networks award. Lampsite2.0, the CloudBB-based end-to-end digitalization solution, was deployed to construct the largest digitalized network in Southern Pacific region. This solution aims to holistically improve user experience and maximizes data traffic usage across diverse scenarios including shopping malls, office building and airport. The success of the network accelerates Indonesia’s ICT development and serves as a model of excellence for the region. Building on the success of this deployment, Huawei has advocated for the establishment of Indonesia Small Cell Industry Alliance to accelerate the uptake of Small Cell technology in Indonesia.
“We are honoured to receive these prestigious awards. This is a testimony of our long-term dedication to building an open, collaborative ecosystem that will continue to drive ICT innovation and transformation, to be ready for coming 5G era. Customers and partners have always been Huawei’s drive to deliver the best products, solutions and services. Moving forward, we will continue to innovate and align our business strategy to ensure Huawei continues to be in the best position to help our customers realize digital transformation,” said Lim Chee Siong, CMO of Huawei Southern Pacific region.
