A crossover by Mini Owners Club Malaysia, Huawei Malaysia and Leica Malaysia to rediscovers beauty of Malaysia with the Huawei P9 at Malacca |
Kuala Lumpur, 20 August 2016 – With National Day right around the corner, Huawei Malaysia is partnering with Mini Owners Club Malaysia, Leica Malaysia, and Auto Bavaria MINI to host the “Mini, Monochrome, Makan, Malacca” Treasure Hunt 2016!
Over 100 members from the Mini Owners Club Malaysia will be taken on a road trip to Malacca to capture many unique aspects that embodies the story of Malaysia by using Huawei P9; be it art, culture, food, sports - anything at all during a walkabout around Jonker Street. Being an UNESCO World Heritage City, Malacca is a tourism hotspot that gathered all heritage architecture, art and preserved handicraft, a blend of Malay-Chinese cuisine, a city that is full of legendary tales. The partnership between Mini Owners Club Malaysia, Huawei Malaysia, Leica Malaysia and Auto Bavaria MINI will bring forth an opportunity for photography enthusiasts using Huawei P9 to capture the forgotten heritage and the establishment Malaysia has been through in the past 59 years through the racial unity of our beautiful country.
Similar as how Malaysia was built on the foundation of all races working together as one to become the unique country we are today, the partnership seeks to achieve the same outcome. The treasure hunt with Mini Owners Club Malaysia, Leica Malaysia and Auto Bavaria MINI marks Huawei Malaysia’s first step into the many partnerships it hopes to form in the future. Huawei Malaysia welcomes and wishes to explore opportunities with all potential organizations to venture into greater innovation in the future.

Participants are required to submit entries by uploading their images on to their Facebook and Instagram with the brand’s official hashtags (#OOMINIxLeica #ColourfulMalaysia #OOmyfoodstories #HuaweiP9 #HuaweiMobileApac), and stand a chance to win a Huawei P9.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are the first smartphones born out of collaboration between Huawei and the global iconic camera brand – Leica, resulting in a stunning dual-lens camera smartphone.
It sets a new benchmark in smartphone camera technology, with the ability to capture lighter and better photo clarity to produce brilliant colour and striking black and white images in true Leica style.
